5310 Grant Opportunity
Applications are being accepted by Basin Transit Service Transportation District for transportation projects benefiting the elderly, people with disabilities, and people of low-income. 5310 Projects must be for capital purchases, mobility management, purchase services, or preventive maintenance for vehicles providing public transportation services for the elderly, people with disabilities and people of low-income in Klamath County.
Eligible parties include county, cities, transportation districts, public or non-profit agencies, federally recognized Indian tribes, individuals or any of these joined in cooperative agreements in Klamath County. Eligible applicants must be able to demonstrate the organizational, financial, and managerial capacity to administer a grant in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
Successful grant applications will be funded for the biennium beginning October 1, 2027, and ending September 30, 2029.

3/28/26 – First Solicitation Notice posted in Herald and News
4/1/26 – Second Solicitation Notice posted in Herald and News
4/20/26 – Application must be submitted by 11:30 AM, April 20, 2026
4/23/26 – Transit Advisory Committee Meeting is open to the public at 1130 Adams Street, Klamath Falls, Oregon, The Committee will review project applications for funding and consider BTS staff recommendations for approval by Board of Directors.
4/29/26 – Board of Directors Meeting at 4:15 PM, located at 1130 Adams Street, Klamath Falls, Oregon. Meetings are open to the public and may be viewed by video. The Board will review submitted projects as recommend by the Transit Advisory Committee for approval for funding for the 2027 – 2029 Biennium.
