Board of Directors Meetings
Basin Transit Service Board of Directors monthly meetings are held at 4:15 p.m. on the 4th Wednesday of each month except November (no meeting) and December the meeting is held on the 2nd Wednesday.
Regular Board meetings and special meetings are held 1130 Adams Street, Klamath Falls OR 97601. The Board provides public notice of Board meetings, including the meeting’s time, date, and place. Board members deliberate and make decisions at open, public meetings. Board members, however, can meet behind closed doors in non-public executive session when authorized. The Board keeps written records of its meetings, as required by public meeting laws.
Public Comment
At every regularly scheduled Board meeting, the public has an opportunity to speak or provide testimony. Those wanting to provide public comment or testimony must provide their name for a sign-up sheet, which is available just before the start of the meeting. The Board will take public comments in the order on the sign-up sheet. Individual comments are limited to 3 minutes.
The Board also welcomes written comments via email or regular mail submitted in advance of the Board meeting. These comments will become part of the Board record. Submit public comments to board@basintransit.com or Board of Directors, 1130 Adams Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97601.
Accessibility
The Board provides equal access to its meetings, as required by the ADA and Oregon Revised Statutes. Board meetings are in locations accessible to people who use wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Assistance is available for persons requiring meeting materials in alternative formats, sign language interpretation or other communication aids. Please contact Basin Transit Service at least 48-hours in advance of the meeting at 541-883-2877 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to make arrangements.
